How to beat procrastination

It's easy to fall into the trap that is procrastination, and everyone is guilty of it from time to time. Procrastinating from time to time isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, constant procrastination is, and this is why it is essential to have something in place to make sure you beat it.

For #worldlazyday we are sharing tips to combat procrastination:

Move around. 🕺

Make sure that you aren't sat in front of your laptop/computer all day. Make some time to get up and stretch or get yourself a drink.

You are setting yourself reminders. 🚨

Set yourself daily reminders of the tasks that you have to do for that day. A simple to-do list can help ensure you are not wasting time.

Get a good amount of sleep. 💤

One of the easiest excuses for procrastinating is being tired. Ensure you are getting enough hours of sleep and working on things when you are refreshed and at your best.

Set time blocks. ⏱️

Take some time out of your calendar and schedule time blocks or work using time management systems such as the Pomodoro technique.

Be mindful. 🤔

Mindfulness can help improve your productivity. Try your hardest not to mindlessly pick up your phone and start scrolling through socials, surfing the web for things unrelated to your task or flipping through channels. Ensure you know when you are going off track and get yourself back in the zone until you need a break.
