Company Overview: FLUX (Panasonic Design London) is a distinctive part of the Panasonic Design’s Creative team, encompassing Insight, Strategy, Creation, and Storytelling. This creative team collaborates closely with Panasonic’s Design HQ in Kyoto, Japan, to explore new and innovative opportunities for the future, with a focus on enhancing user experiences for both humanity and the planet.

Position: UX Designer

Location: London, UK

Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full-time)

Role Overview: As a UX Designer at FLUX, you will actively contribute to key projects for Panasonic Design London. Your role encompasses three core areas: conducting insight research to identify potential needs, formulating business opportunity hypotheses, and visualizing future user experiences. Collaborating with the Director and Creative Lead, you will lead and manage multiple projects each year.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a UX Designer on major projects, collaborating with the Director and Creative Lead while working with HQ in Japan.

  • Support Insight Research, including desktop research, user/expert interviews, field research in various regions/countries, and exhibition visits, in collaboration with target audiences and external experts.

  • Derive and propose project directions based on target customers, understanding potential needs and validating ideas through research.

  • Produce and visualize ideas obtained through projects in an intuitive manner and communicate both internally and externally (presentations, reports, events, etc.). This may involve compiling information in both English and Japanese.

  • Actively participate in various design seminars and events to gather valuable primary information for projects, network with experts, and raise the profile of Panasonic Design.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written, visual, and verbal).

  • Proficiency in using various systems/platforms such as Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects), Microsoft OS (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), and Apple OS (Keynote, Pages, Numbers).
